(Part Time – Foundation)
Mission and Scope
The purpose of this position is to provide prompt, professional service regarding the use of the photographic medium for such activities as merchandise, marketing, media, exhibits and various other photographic needs of the organization, including the editing and development of such photographs.
This position will participate in the full range of photographer assignments and uses considerable judgment in making decisions requiring the interpretation and application of numerous mediums to complete tasks.
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. required. Associates or greater recommended.
Work Experience: 2-5 years of experience in a photography environment required OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be detail oriented and well organized. Must be professional and is able work with minimal supervision. Must work well with children and possess excellent customer service skills.
Technical Experience: Competency using SLR’s and Speed lights in manual modes, Nikon systems a plus. Understanding use of OCF. Must be able to use a 101-key keyboard and possess knowledge of Windows based operating systems, Working knowledge of Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop. Must have a basic understanding of software applications including word processing, spreadsheets.
Physical Requirements of the Position
This position has the following specific requirements:
Walking, climbing (stairs) extensively to access departments and groups within multiple buildings.
Sitting for extended periods of time (4-6 hrs.) operating computer terminal.
Carrying and lifting of supplies and boxes up to 30 pounds waist height.
Bending, kneeling and reaching to experience all areas of the facility.
Sight, reading, wrist movements, feeling to operate computer terminal and camera equipment, read programs.
Speaking and hearing to communicate with supervisor(s), employees, guests and trainees who interact with assigned area of responsibility.
This position involves working in a climate-controlled office environment and outdoors to capture the needs of the project. This position interacts extensively with guests, trainees and parents in person and over the telephone.
This position will involve evening and weekend hours as needed.

Photograph live and still subjects.
Use green screens for projects.
Arrange scenes and shots to be taken, select shooting angels and determine illumination of the subject.
Correctly calibrate equipment.
Operates and maintains equipment such as cameras, lighting, and all auxiliary equipment designated to complete photo tasks.
Maintain inventories of supplies.
Maintains records for reporting purposes.
Process all photographs for USSRC in a timely and efficient manner.
Other duties as assigned.
