Job Summary

Manages the development, updating and delivery of content to Shepherd Center websites, including its flagship site, shepherd.org, intranet site, Shepherd Spine and Pain Institute website, Shepherd Pathways website, Beyond Therapy website and MyShepherdConnection.org educational website.

Job Duties

Responsible for the selection, creation, and optimization of content, to be published on websites representing Shepherd Center. Ensures that content supports the organization’s mission, marketing and public relations strategies, presents a consistent voice to visitors, provides a positive web user experience, is fully accessible to all web visitors and optimized for search engines. Collaborates with the digital and content teams on the creation of graphics, videos, photos, written materials, and meta data. Collaborates and manages workflow with digital agency and website design vendors. Creates and manages a system for tracking and updating web content across multiple stakeholders.

Experience And Education

Comprehensive knowledge of website content best practices, regulations, web technologies and content management systems. Creates, edits and proofreads written and other content for all website properties. Executes complex tasks including meta data management, project management, and HTML/CSS editing. Contributes to strategic planning and web content management improvements. Requires a bachelor’s degree and at least four to six years of experience. Experience in healthcare and/or nonprofit organizations a plus.
